Marron

MARRØN employs sound inspired by his african roots. He pays homage to the strong-willed MARRØN’s, a once-enslaved African tribe who defied oppression and found freedom in the primeval forests of Surinam.
The hypnotic, percussive beats characterizing MARRØN’s foundational Afro Deep style have evolved to form a singular conception of techno. As co-founder and resident of Amsterdam’s Eerste Communie his home is the underground and raves that keep attention on free space for various kinds of minorities, especially of sexual orientation.
Groove is guaranteed.

nu Caress

TripHopSoul somewhere between Chet Faker, electric guitars, and R&B – the sound of the Innsbruck singer and producer can hardly be described with a single genre label. One thing, however, is clear – it’s all about the feeling. This is evident both in the lyrics and in his musical approach, in songwriting as well as live performances. Slow beats, ethereal synths, deep bass, and dreamily psychedelic guitar licks.

baiba

Sorry, not sorry! BAIBA plays self-produced electro-pop and courageously conquers the
stage alone. In her lyrics she doesn’t shy away from the emotional depth and honesty, in her arrangements she is not afraid to seek for more.
In the past years BAIBA has moved further and further away from the melancholic singer songwriter’s corner and has dived into the curiosity of electronic pop music. She combines mysterious, dark lyrics with danceable beats and experiments with ambient sounds and deep basses. Her live performances are charming, atmospheric and intense, the same as her persona.
After releasing two albums in 2017 and 2021, at the moment she is working on a new EP
‘Compulsive’, which will be released in Spring 2023. ‘Compulsive’ will be an edgy and satiric outburst of her biggest obsessions, fears and paranoias. The self healing and powerful art in which she moves in her new EP has manifested also in her live performances – once the shy singer-songwriter creatives a dynamic that brings one on an ecstatic journey.
The first single of the EP, called ‘Perfect’ was in daily rotation and charts of one of the biggest Austrian radio stations FM4.

.vril

Seemingly out of nothing, through dust and with no bang, Vril appeared on the scene. His music made such beautiful noise that it instantly found his place on Marcel Dettmann’s selection for his Conducted cd and on Ostgut’s release schedule. His sound is a search for the evergoing movement, exploring a never stopping energy. Once he catches you in his groove it will shine so bright you won’t be able to escape it. Tales of his live sets being heard at the Fusion Festival and the Berghain all share the same common feature that it was an as euphoric as energetic travel in sound. His recent release on Delsin records has been acclaimed and played everywhere, while his highly anticipated debut album “Torus” from 2014 contained some great surprises.

KI/KI

From Amsterdam’s fertile underground to techno temples around the world, KI/KI is at the forefront of a new rave resurrection. Shaped by the time-tried fundamentals of trance, acid and techno, she subtly constructs her own signature: a sound realm that’s fast but dreamlike, futuristic but nostalgic, severe but – at all times – euphoric. Starting out as a resident DJ at queer stronghold Spielraum back in 2018, KI/KI has rapidly evolved into a nightlife bastion of her own. In
the past years she’s made a mark with unforgettable all-nighters, curating her own ‘KI/KI invites’ series, upsurging Boiler Room views, and striking dance floors from Berghain to Bassiani, from Awakenings to Pitch Music & Arts
As an artist, collaboration and community are essential to KI/KI’s craft. While festival stages and warehouses have become her second home, her heart still beats the loudest for the dark and intimate fringes of nightlife. Beyond music, this artistry bleeds into all forms of collaboration; resulting in, among others, her ‘not for sleeping’ project with Amsterdam fashion collective The New Originals. In 2022, KI/KI established the label slash: a platform that unites the buried treasures of her musical heroes, the work of like-minded emerging producers and – not to forget – her own releases. With production taking up a bigger and bigger role in her artistry, KI/KI revealed her first live show in the summer of ’22 as the official closing
of Draaimolen Festival. Currently on the verge of releasing multiple solo tracks and soon launching her ‘5HRS OF ACID’ hybrid club concept, the storm that is KI/KI is just picking up.Autumn 2009 Barbara Preisinger founded the 12inch vinyl label SLICES OF LIFE which is focused on organic sounding and diverse club music, with releases by Betke, Mike Huckaby, Baaz, John Tejada and The Mole. The label´s founding year also marked the beginning of the event series DEEP IN THE BOX with regular parties at Berlin´s Club der Visionäre, Wilde Renate, Ipse among other places. In September 2015 Barbara Preisinger moved DEEP IN THE BOX to the Globus floor at Berlin´s legendary TRESOR club, where she has been hosting her parties every 2 months since then.sounds, draws the listener into a primordial and ritualistic dimension.

his music became Davide’s greatest strength, shaping his rich and diverse path. He turns into DJ Chupacabra when it comes to more playful and housey stuff. Previous music released on labels like Subwax, HAWS, Carpet & Snares and DR. Banana, Davide keeps it underground with more releases in 2022

Eli verveine

When someone like Marshall Jefferson speaks, you listen. And it’s definitely a compliment, what the House originator once told Zurich based DJ Eli Verveine: „You sound just like from my hood in Chicago.“. As flattering as such a notion is, and as rough and rumbling as her mixes can be, one would be hard-pressed to see Eli Verveine’s craft as a Windy City phenomenon.
Deejaying, it’s a mission. In the case of Eli Verveine, a long period of intense experimentation and self-discovery led to the sensitive, instinctive and insightful DJ she now is. Honing her skills at the legendary Dachkantine club or at her monthly radio show at Zurich’s Radio Lora, it was not before long that she garnered enthusiastic responses with her refined mix tapes: the most prominent of which Eli did for the reknowned techno doyens at the mnml ssgs-blog. If Eli has a knack for something, then it’s probably to tell her story of the deep over the course of an evening. Though she also expertly likes to unroll the carpet as an intro dj. „When you garner the first screams from a crowd while playing your last tracks, then you can be certain you have done a good job.“ says Eli. Right. But let’s rather hope you see her playing that early-morning sunset-set (ok, let’s call it a „sun-set“): Trust in Eli and you will most likely be blown away by a high-octane affair. Swoosh!

Alpi & D_Roots & Davide Piras

Geek and creativity merged together to give birth to this new project. The duo ALPI was born from two young producers from Bolzano, Daniele Alessi and Gabriel Pivaro. Driven by a visceral love for vinyls and synthesizers, they started their collaboration at the beginning of 2014 and since then have continued to experiment and work in search of a distinctive sound. ALPI’s music, characterized by the use of tribal timbres and hypnotic

The musician relies solely on her guitar and voice to captivate the audience like a siren. She candidly tells stories of love, her life, or sometimes just a mountain that currently inspires her. In the delicate balance between melancholy and exuberant vocal lines, she manages to leave the audience with a cozy, warm feeling in their stomachs. ischia

The music of the Vienna-based band ‘ischia’ achieves something that only a few manage to do: it can accompany both drizzly walks on gray afternoons and carefree evenings at the end of a hot summer day. At times, the audience is led by dark harmonies to mysterious places, while at other times, a warming blanket of sound clouds envelops the verses and refrains. The common thread of catchy hooks and compact song structures hints at a connection to pop, yet the songwriting is never predictable. On the contrary, the combination of raw guitar sounds and complex melodies, along with lyrics that often address issues between the lines, such as patriarchy or the demands of society, surprises. Influences from shoegaze and dream pop converge into a distinct indie rock that frequently invites dancing.

Rahel

Hooks that stay in your ear, a breathy voice and echoing guitars that seem to come from another world: That’s how you could describe the music of Rahel. Dream pop meets NDW, 80s beat meets muted synths. Since 2020, Rahel has been holed up in her home studio with producer Raphael Krenn, and the songs that come out of it sound kind of sweet, but they aren’t really, if you listen closely: Sometimes Rahel holds up a mirror to the “don’t-just-be-sexy” morality and slutshaming, sometimes she sings about the disorientation of her generation. Rahel wants one thing above all: to show attitude. And does not renounce the invitation to dance.

tasheeno

TASHEENO is a musical crossover project led by the producer – and musician team Paul Krackowizer and Felipe Ramos.
The two crossed paths at local events in Linz, Austria. Felipe, who originated from Chile, has made Linz his home. Here, he joined another band of Paul a few years ago and they ended up touring throughout Europe. During their summer festival tours and club shows, they worked with many artists from Jamaica, Africa and the US. These shared musical experiences helped form the concept
of TASHEENO.
The project is also supported by Markus „Syrix“ Lechleitner – a world class engineer, and Jakob „Jacky“ Mayr – one of Austria’s most wanted trombone players and multi- instrumenatlists and Lukas Höfler, the most charismatic pro guitarist in the country. Everyone involved in the project is active as a live or studio musician, producer, or musical
director and has been for more than 15 years. They have played with, and worked for many well known artists in different genres. Everyone is involved with local projects and worldwide touring.
The musical productions consist mainly of 3 elements: the beat, brass and vocals.
The beat is often based on house and techno drums infused with afro-caribbean & south american rhythms. The instrumentalization is simple and sometimes uses old samples
from the genres of mentioned before.
The brass section is used in unexpected ways, and often layered with electronics to make the sound futuristic. Maybe the brass will take over the synthesizer parts, maybe they will climax the track, or maybe play beautiful melodies. Anything is possible! Vocals are not the main role of the tracks as they often are in today’s popular music. TASHEENO’s vocals often have fixed parts with interesting effects and edits. The band is mostly collaborating with international artists rooted in the reggae, afro and dancehall
genres to provide a colorful mix of sounds and grooves.on board with Badman Barbist and Marco MC, forming the so-called “Invasion Next Generation.”the past years she’s made a mark with unforgettable all-nighters, curating her own ‘KI/KI invites’ series, upsurging Boiler Room views, and striking dance floors from Berghain to Bassiani, from Awakenings to Pitch Music & Arts

Schwarzmarct can draw on a large repertoire thanks to his musical background, which began with hip-hop and evolved through breakbeat and drum & bass to techno.

The elements of his early experiences with electronic music are reflected in his dynamic sets, which are characterized by driving beats, and moving dancefloors.
His style oscillates between groove-driven Detroit techno and driving hardgroove techno.
